Our Brewery
Wickham House
Simon is 4th generation within the hospitality trade, with his great Grandmother starting the family tradition in the 1890s at the George Public House, Brewers Street, Soho. She then moved to The Red Lion at Barnett in the late 1890s which at the time was the last Coaching House out of London. Simon’s Grandfather ran the Cherry Tree at Southgate which was then run by his 2 sons till the late 50s. In the late 50s, Simon’s father and mother bought The Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.
Simon was involved in Hospitality at a very young age and has worked in hospitality both in the UK and Australia in hotels, clubs, restaurants and pubs. Simon has been in the Louth area for 8 years, first running the Woolpack in Louth with his son (5th generation) and wife before taking on Wickham House 4 years ago.
Simon had a dream after leaving the pub to brew his own beer, so Wickham House Brewery was born 3 years ago with a 100-litre plant (Nano Brewery). Simon now supplies pubs, bars and shops with quality locally produced beers, Wickham House also has a limited licence for guests.
